The course "Nutritional Aspects of Gut Health and Immunity" will be held from July 13 to July 24, with a total of 40 class hours and 2 credits. The course will be delivered in the form of lectures, taught by Professor Niel Alexander Karrow from the University of Guelph, Canada.

课程简介：这门课程主要讲授肠道生理学并讨论抗营养因子和肠道上皮屏障免疫病理学在畜禽疾病发生中的作用。将会探讨肠道健康和免疫相关的主题，包括应用体内外细胞和动物模型研究营养失衡对动物疾病发生的作用；应用营养调控改善动物粘膜屏障和肠道免疫功能的技术；以及应用益生菌、益生元和后生元提升动物肠道免疫功能和健康的相关措施。

Course Description: This course will provide an overview of gut physiology and discuss the contribution of antinutritional factors and epithelial barrier immunopathology to diseases of food producing animals. Topics in gut health and immunity will be explored, including use of in vitro and in vivo animal models to investigate the contribution of nutrient imbalance to risk of disease, nutrition to support the mucosal barrier and the gut immune function, and the potential use of prebiotics, probiotics and postbiotics to support gut health and immunity.
