Research experience:
Small noncoding RNAs (ncRNAs) are a novel class of gene regulators that modulate gene expression at transcriptional, post-transcriptional, and epigenetic levels, and they play crucial roles in almost all cellular processes in eukaryotes. My research interests focus on two related areas. The first one is focuses on male reproduction biology specifically in the field of epididymis, a subject which I initially explored the roles of small ncRNAs in the epididymis. I continue to be interested in the spermatogenesis and sexual differentiation; I was also interested in develop new bioinformatics tools for miRNA and genome editing techniques, such as sRNAPrimer, sgRNAcas9 and CRISPR-offinder.
